As a Lay Council Member with the GOC, I had the pleasure of working with Gareth for a number of years in his role as GOC Chair. My over-riding memory of Gareth, aside from his exceptionally impressive professional skills and accomplishments, is his kindness and thoughtfulness. I remember, for instance, the genuine concern and interest when a family member was ill and those phone calls to enquire as to how they were. I would like to extend my sincere condolences to all of Gareth’s family and friends. As we would say in my native Donegal in Ireland - Ar dheis De go raibh a h’anam dilis - May his gentle soul rest in peace.
