I am so very sorry to hear this news. Gareth was an absolute gentleman. He was pivotal in introducing me to the GOC and offered much advice and encouragement during his time there. I recall a visit to my store in Northern Ireland, I offered to collect him from the airport but he would hear none of it. He was looking forward to the train journey and relished in telling me various train related stories. A great loss to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Sincere condolences to his family circle.
