Gareth was such a marvellous person and a larger than life character.His laugh could always be heard ringing through The Appointments Commission and yet he could be one of the most thoughtful of people, deeply concerned about all the staff and their well-being. To know Gareth, as a Commissioner, was to appreciate someone who was extremely fair and respectful yet he was always prepared to challenge and influence events and outcomes. A man full of life and energy with other peoples best interests at heart. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
